SHADED has a signature sound – a weaving combination of driving, psychedelic vibes and funk inspired textures. His sound is undeniable in character and is breathing new life into the techno house world. Growing up in Newport Beach, California, he secluded himself in skating, surfing and music since a young age. His production style and technique followed suit, and has constantly evolved whilst trying to stay true to his roots.

He started out as the duo SHDWPLAY in 2009 and went on to release four EPs on Dubfire's SCI+TEC imprint. With newfound recognition in the form of the hit track ‘Time Drip’, coupled with the desire for creative individuality, he made the decision to leave the duo in 2012 and pursue his solo career as SHADED.

Since, he has had multiple EP’s on SCI+TEC, with “Be My Binge”, “Love Bug” and “This Is This” solidifying his solo adventure. He then followed up with his major noted release ‘‘Dwell’’ of 2014 which toped at No.1 on Beatports minimal chart, as well as “Electric Auto Pitch” which catapulted into the charts at No.7 and No.9 minimal. 2016 opened strong featuring his latest full EP on SCI+TEC titled “Yoyoyo”, which lead to his first Asia tour with the ULTRA Resistance team.

2018 is shaping up to be SHADED’s most defining year to date. Between a stacked release schedule, and a newly produced live show, SHADED is continuously reinventing himself, pushing the boundaries of his production prowess with his eclectic style, and delivering a live performance unlike any other.
